Course Objectives

  • Explain different kinds of interrogative sentences and learn how to distinguish between them
  • Learn the use of adverbs
  • Comprehend the appropriate use of conjunctions
  • Increase students’ vocabulary
  • Identify grammatical errors
  • Enhance the students’ overall comprehension of the language

Prior Preparation

Course Description

  • Verbs (auxiliaries, participles, modals)
  • Adverbs (kinds, form, and use; formation of adverbs; adjectives and adverbs with the same form; adverbs of degree)
  • Prepositions
  • Conjunctions (co-coordinating, subordinating)
  • Question words/tags (Wh – questions, yes/no questions, question tags)
  • Vocabulary (synonyms and antonyms)
  • Understanding proverbs and sayings
  • Simple description paragraphs
  • Reading and listening exercises
