Myanmar’s Digital Awakening – Special Talks by Dr. Roger Marshall

This week, Dr. Roger Marshall, Senior Fulbright Scholar at MIIT, is delivering a series of talks for the students and faculty of MIIT. The subject of his talks is – Myanmar’s Digital Awakening: Pleasures and Perils of the Internet.

Dr. Marshall recently retired as a Professor from Plymouth State University, New Hamshire, USA. He has nearly 40 years of experience in teaching computer science to university students at all levels. During his career, he has taught at a variety of universities, including Johns Hopkins University, Boston University, Winston-Salem State University, and the University of Rhode Island.

At MIIT, he is in the capacity of a Senior Fulbright Scholar. The Fulbright Programme is a fellowship run by the US Department of State. Dr. Marshall has been a recipient of the highly prestigious fellowship not just once, but thrice.

We are privileged to be hosting Dr. Marshall and we hope that his association with MIIT will prove to be mutually beneficial.
