All-Round Youth Development Festival 2018

All-Round Youth Development Festival 2018 was conducted from August 11-13, 2018 at Mandalay University, Mandalay. The festival was inaugurated by the State Counsellor, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and attended by students of various disciplines from universities from all across Myanmar.

The All-Round Youth Development festival is an annual affair that provides various kinds of opportunities to young students to showcase their skills, and have fun along the way. This time, the festival covered a wide range of events – from literary talks and poem recitations to sports events and a science fair. Both local and foreign companies also had a presence at the festival and could be seen scouting for talent.

About 70 MIIT students, accompanied by a few faculty members, attended the festival. MIIT also put up an exhibition booth in which the students displayed some of the projects based on the Arduino processor. The booth attracted a large number of visitors – curious schoolchildren, students and faculty from other universities, lay persons, and businessmen. The project exhibits mostly came from 2nd year students of the B.E. (Hons.) programme.
