Usha has experienced three distinct aspects in her professional journey – teacher, entrepreneur, and corporate leader, enabling her to realize a panoramic view of any responsibility she undertakes. She holds a double master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. Usha has over 24 years of teaching and training experience in computer science and leadership skills. Prior to joining MIIT, she was Senior Vice-President and Head of Learning & Development at Mphasis Ltd., India.
Her primary interest is in the area of assessments. She brings along a plethora of experience in the area of assessments from her experiments in her previous roles.
Usha is an avid long-distance runner, has participated in 20+ half marathon races, and has won prizes in her age category. Her hobbies include listening to different genres of music, appreciating meaningful movies, following varied sports, reading fiction, embroidering, and knitting. People who have had a profound impact on her life are Dhirubhai Ambani, J. K. Rowling and Nelson Mandela.
