Course Description

  • Common emitter configuration of BJT and its design and analysis
  • CE operational regions (cut-off/saturation/active)
  • Load line analysis, input and output characteristics of transistors
  • Load line and Q-point calculations, effects of RC and RB
  • Amplifier circuits with emitter bias, LED drivers, phototransistors
  • Fixed bias, emitter bias, voltage divider bias (VDB),
  • Designing multi-stage amplifiers, Darlington pair, etc.
  • Common base and common collector circuits analysis, and their characteristics
  • Class A, AB, C amplifier circuit design, and analysis
  • Circuits using field effect transistors (FET) and MOSFET transistors
  • Basic circuits using operational amplifiers (OpAmps)
