Visit of Indian Ambassador to MIIT

H. E. Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of India in Myanmar, Mr. Nandan Singh Bhaisora, Consul General of India in Mandalay, and Dr. Muthukumarasamy B., First Secretary, Development Projects Assistance, Embassy of India in Yangon visited MIIT on March 12, 2019. The primary purpose of their visit was to review the progress of the MIIT Project.

The Ambassador and his team had a very productive meeting with Dr. Nwe Ni, Deputy Director General, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Dr. K. R. V. Subramanian, Director, MIIT, and Dr. Win Aye, Rector, MIIT and promised continuing Indian support to the university.

The Ambassador also interacted at length with the Indian and Myanmar faculty members. He was very happy to see the progress MIIT has made in a very short period of time and promised full support in helping MIIT emerge as one of the top engineering institutions not only in India, but the entire ASEAN region. We hope that the combined efforts of India and Myanmar will help MIIT realise its mission and vision.
