Dr. Khaing Nyunt Myaing

Biography

She graduated from the Mandalay University with a specialization in Physics B.Sc(Hons)and M.Sc(Nuclear Physics) in 1998. She got her Ph.D. (Nuclear Technology) from Yangon Technology University in 2003. Her carrier was teaching and research in the field of Nuclear Technology and gave lectures for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She supervised the Ph.D. candidates and M.Sc candidates and did research in the field of Nuclear Technology Applications, Nuclear Security, Radiation Safety, Environmental Radiation Monitoring, and Nuclear Imaging CT scanning. She also participated in the collaborative research projects funded by the IAEA/CRP as a senior scientific investigator.

Experience

She has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research under the Department of Advanced Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Myanmar.

She also participated in the IAEA-supported co-operated research project awarded two titles related to the peaceful use of nuclear technology.

She supervised the Ph.D. candidates (dissertations), M.Sc candidates and also experienced in doing as an external examiner for the Ph.D. thesis dissertation for more than ten candidates and M.Sc thesis dissertation for more than twenty candidates.

She published successful academic research in international publications and International conference proceedings for more than 30 papers. She has actively participated in national and internal conferences. She has also experience in reviewing scientific publications.[ https://www.researchgate.net/p…]

She is currently working as a pro-rector of the Myanmar Institute of Information Technology MIIT. And her type of work is the administration of Academic and non-academic work of the Institute. Her role and responsibility is implementation head of all tasks and activities and managing various functions of educational administration and academics through the functional divisions.
