Biography

Sin Thi Yar Myint (also known as Cynthia Myint) completed her Ph.D. in information technology from the University of Computer Studies, Mandalay in 2014. Her doctoral dissertation was on the subject of Myanmar word segmentation and part-of-speech disambiguation using joint entropy.

Prior to joining MIIT, Dr. Sin Thi Yar Myint worked as a Head and lecturer in the Department of Information Science, Computer University, Pinlon. She is interested in natural language processing, especially in relations to the Myanmar language. She also Faculty Development Programme (Batch II) in IIITB Bangalore, India from ( 7.9.2016 to 11.2.2017). She is also one of the MIIT senate members since 2016. Dr. Sin Thi Yar Myint has more than 20 years of experience in teaching computer science.
