First International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Deep Learning Applications

MIIT, in collaboration with the University of Miyazaki, Japan, jointly organized the First International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Deep Learning Applications at the University of Miyazaki from 14-15th May, 2018. 

Dr. Tsuyomu Ikenoue, President, University of Miyazaki, welcomed the participants and set the tone for the conference as Conference General Chair. Dr. Thi Thi Zin, Conference Program Chair, introduced the theme of the conference. 

Dr. K. R. V. “Raja” Subramanian, Director, MIIT, spoke on “Challenges in computer science education in an era of disruptive technologies” in his keynote address. Prof. Etsuo Chosa, Chairman of Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University of Miyazaki, presented the second keynote address on the topic of “Screening for musculoskeletal (locomotive organs) problems: A survey on physical fitness and motor abilities analysis in schoolchildren”. Prof. Hiroyuki Yoshihara, Emeritus Professor, Kyoto University and University of Miyazaki, presented the third keynote address on “Millennial Medical Record Project: Towards establishment of authentic Japanese version HER and secondary use of medical data”. 

Researchers from universities in Japan, Myanmar (including MIIT), and China contributed to the proceedings of the conference. Specifically, eight research papers were presented by MIIT faculty members.
