Bachelor’s Degree Programmes
Overview
The bachelor’s degree programmes at MIIT have been designed keeping in mind the matriculation system of school education in Myanmar. Students in Myanmar complete the Matriculation Examination in Standard X (also known as Grade XI). Thus, the students would have attended ten years of schooling before seeking admission to a university. MIIT has designed the bachelor’s degree programmes in such a way that it accepts students who have matriculated, and enables them to graduate with a bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to those in the USA, India, Canada, etc.
The undergraduate programmes at MIIT have a broad-based structure, with a strong foundation in mathematics, sciences, and engineering sciences, followed by a rich collection of specific, discipline courses in their designated major. The programme also offers courses from liberal studies, humanities, social sciences, and English language communication in order to cater to the overall development of the students. A wide collection of electives empowers a student to choose their specialisation based on individual career goal
