Myanmar is a country where teachers are deeply respected and revered. In Myanmar society, teachers are accorded the highest respect, alongside the Buddha, the Dhamma, the Sangha, and one’s parents.
On September 17, 2026, the students of the Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) organized a Teacher Homage Ceremony to express their profound respect, gratitude, and appreciation for their teachers.
The ceremony commenced with addresses by the Rector, Pro-Rector, and Heads of Faculties, followed by prayers and traditional homage-paying activities. The students expressed their sincere love and gratitude to their teachers and presented them with gifts. The ceremony was attended by faculty members and students, creating a warm and respectful atmosphere that reflected the enduring bond between teachers and students.
